Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Takes a Loss

Kankakee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Rich Township Raptors. If the Kays were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Raptors when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Rich Township scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21.

Kankakee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rich Township, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Kankakee has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Bloom on the 24th. As for Rich Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Thornridge on the 24th.
