Recap: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Brady Eagles
The Arapahoe Warriors posted their closest win since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Brady 37-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Arapahoe also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arapahoe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Berkley Warner, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Warner hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Carpenter, who scored two points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the defeat, Brady had strong showings from Lydia McGown, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Payton Stienike, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
The win got Arapahoe back to even at 10-10. As for Brady, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9.
Arapahoe and Hitchcock County will face off at 5:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Arapahoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Brady, they will be playing at home against Medicine Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Medicine Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
