South Hunterdon won the last time they faced Bound Brook and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 13-1 victory. That looming 13-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Trevor Lingerfield and Landon Katz did most of the damage at the plate: Lingerfield got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Katz went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Lingerfield has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Aaron Parisi, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

South Hunterdon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

South Hunterdon now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bound Brook, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
