Morningside Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marvin Tidas led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Brandon Clark was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Melbourne Central Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hayden Deane. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Henry Lane, who scored nine points.
