St. Johns got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaylee Pulsipher out in front who posted four points in addition to seven steals and six boards. Pulsipher has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Payton Nielsen, who put up 15 points and seven steals.
Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for St. Johns, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will venture away from home to take on Pinon at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Johns, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northland Prep Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
