Basketball Game Preview: Montbello Warriors vs. Thomas Jefferson Spartans

The Montbello Warriors will take on the Thomas Jefferson Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Montbello turned things around against Mitchell on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 52-32 margin over the Marauders. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Micah Martinez was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Turohn Shinalut, who posted 12 points.

Montbello was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 60-40 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season.

Thomas Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Montbello, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
