Recap: Glenville Tarblooders vs. John Marshall Lawyers
The Glenville Tarblooders entered their tilt with the John Marshall Lawyers with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Glenville blew past John Marshall 64-27 at home on Tuesday. Glenville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 24 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Damarion Witten, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruel Tomlinson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Glenville's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for John Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
Glenville will take on John Marshall at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Glenville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for John Marshall, they will square off against Glenville at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Glenville is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than John Marshall in Ohio (Glenville is ranked 153rd, while John Marshall is ranked 597th).
