It was another big night for Ryan Crotty, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points and four steals. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points. Shane Crissman was another key player, going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points.
Miller School of Albemarle was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but North Cross ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Lord Botetourt out 80-78. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since February 8, 2024.
North Cross' win came from a few key players Miller School of Albemarle will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jesiah Hines, who went 13 of 23 on his way to 33 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Robinson, who went 9 for 13 en route to 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
North Cross has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Miller School of Albemarle and North Cross are some of the highest scoring teams in the league.
