Volleyball Recap: Minooka Takes a Loss

Minooka and Normal Community squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Minooka had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Normal Community Ironmen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

Addison Ciesielski paced Minooka's offense, picking up six kills. Ciesielski were helped by Kendall Kozak and Jalynn Skaggs, who contributed nine assists each. Courtney Walter controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Minooka now has a losing record at 18-19. As for Normal Community, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-8.
