Basketball Game Preview: Spotswood Trailblazers vs. Rocktown Raptors

The Spotswood Trailblazers will head out on the road to face off against the Rocktown Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Spotswood has 12 straight wins, Rocktown has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Spotswood got the win against Rockbridge County by a conclusive 52-26. The Trailblazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-20, which was the final score in Rocktown's tilt against Rockbridge County on Friday.

Spotswood pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.5 points. As for Rocktown, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Everything came up roses for Spotswood against Rocktown in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 90-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spotswood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
