Volleyball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Hedgesville Eagles. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Hedgesville can attribute much of their success to Alexa Smith, who had 11 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Smith has posted over her last six contests.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2. As for Hedgesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3-3 record this season.

Liberty will face off against Bethlehem Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hedgesville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Morgantown on the 27th.
