Volleyball Recap: CSTHEA Starts off Right with Win over Boyd-Buchanan

CSTHEA had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won four games in a row dating back to last season.

CSTHEA never let Boyd-Buchanan on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16.

Audrey Richardson paced CSTHEA's offense, picking up nine kills. Richardson got some help from Emmi Black and her 14 assists. Avery Brennan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

CSTHEA wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Girls Prep on the 7th. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Unity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
