Baseball Game Preview: Hanover Area Hawkeyes vs. Mountain View Eagles

The Hanover Area Hawkeyes will challenge the Mountain View Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanover Area has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with eight straight defeats, while Mountain View will come in with nine straight wins.

On Monday, Hanover Area came up short against Tunkhannock and fell 8-3.

Hanover Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Kablick, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Mountain View beat Blue Ridge 8-3 on Monday.

Hudson Bain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Josh Miller was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Mountain View is undefeated when Miller posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziggy Bradford, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Mountain View's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Hanover Area, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.
