Summit took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Grand Terrace, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The SkyHawks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Titans 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the SkyHawks have posted since March 31, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Arianna Munoz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Summit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive games.

Summit's record now sits at 6-13. As for Grand Terrace, they moved to 11-5 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Summit has already played their next matchup, a 15-3 win against Kaiser on the 23rd. Grand Terrace has also already played their next contest (against Colton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
