Softball Recap: Astoria Fishermen vs. Seaside Seagulls

Astoria came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Seaside Seagulls. The Fishermen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Seagulls, too.

Taryen Wray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.

Astoria pushed their record up to 10-2-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
