After last week's primer with the small-school state tournament, this week Oklahoma City comes to a standstill. There is plenty of roundball to go around. If you are out in the cold with the Big XII Men's Tournament thanks to the Oklahoma State fans that bought up all the tickets, there is plenty of high school basketball action to check out.

I plan on covering four games today. I will start at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany for a pair of Class 2A first round games. Oktaha and Mangum will kick off the Class 2A boys slate at 2 p.m., followed by Oklahoma Christian School and Crescent at 3:30.

Really looking forward to the second game. OCS has Oklahoma signee Blake Griffin, while Crescent features Prince Shaw, who is probably the best kept secret in the state. Either player could get 50 today.

For the evening session, the tentative plan is to hit Moore for the Class 4A first round games featuring Victory Christian/Elk City and Bishop McGuinness/Vinita. Plans might change. Class 6A at Oklahoma City University is another distinct possibility. We'll see how the day goes.

Expect full details and a blog tomorrow morning.
