 Starting off the list is Burke's  Marcus Buchanan, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Buchanan made a tackle.

Shanahan Posts Huge Game in  28-20  Victory
  Gavin Shanahan posted a new career-high in  rushing yards  on Friday. He rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 51 receiving yards.
 Elkhorn South's victory was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-1. Shanahan will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant  effort when he faces off against Creighton Prep on Saturday.

Drew Streich Rounds Out Top Five
 Rounding off our Top Five is  Drew Streich of Norfolk. Streich picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 For the season,  Streich  has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 51.3 receiving yards per game. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he had two  receiving touchdowns.
