Basketball Recap: Bluffton Beats Wilson Hall for Their Ninth Straight Win

Bluffton had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They walked away with a 62-55 win over the Wilson Hall Barons.

Bluffton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Harrison Skinner, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. Skinner's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aedon McCarthy, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 14 points.

Bluffton's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Wilson Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton and Waccamaw will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Bluffton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Waccamaw likes a good challenge. As for Wilson Hall, they will challenge John Paul II at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
