Softball Recap: Gladwin Comes Up Short

Gladwin came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-2 to the Bullock Creek Lancers. If the Flying G's were looking for revenge after losing 16-4 to the Lancers when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Liz Winchester and Angelica Corlew stepped up to the plate in a big way. Winchester went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, while Corlew went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Winchester has launched this season.

Gladwin has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Bullock Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

While Gladwin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
