Preview: Northside Eagles vs. Bleckley County Royals
Northside and Bleckley County are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Northside Eagles will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bleckley County Royals at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Northside lost to Jones County at home by a decisive 68-51 margin. Northside has not had much luck with Jones County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite their loss, Northside saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chastan Brown, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Keron Milton Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Bleckley County pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Dodge County by a score of 64-62.
The losses dropped Northside to 0-2 and Jones County to 6-2.
