Recap: Harvest Community Warriors vs. Menendez Falcons
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Harvest Community Warriors ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 65-59 W over Menendez. The win made it back-to-back wins for Harvest Community.
Adrian Walker was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Carter, who scored 13 points along with seven steals.
Harvest Community has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Menendez, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Community will take on Faith Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Menendez, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Matanzas at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Matanzas is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.2 points per game.
