South Pasadena is 7-2 against San Marino since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers will face off against the Titans at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, South Pasadena got the win against La Canada by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 27-25, 25-23.

San Marino extended their winning streak to 13 games thanks to a huge performance from Ryan Lee. The Titans walked away with a 3-1 win over Temple City on Tuesday for which the team can thank Lee, who had 17 digs and one assist. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times he's played.

While San Marino might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Temple City scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 16-25, 25-23, 25-22.

San Marino's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-5. As for South Pasadena, the win got them back to even at 12-12.

South Pasadena might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from San Marino in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
