Football Recap: Central Decatur Takes a Loss

After flying high against Saydel last Friday, Central Decatur came back down to earth. The Cardinals received a blow on Friday as they fell 33-18 to the Nodaway Valley Wolverines. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Central Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Nodaway Valley, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central Decatur will face off against rival Southwest Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nodaway Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center on Friday.
