Basketball Recap: Westwood's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Westwood took a 26-point defeat the last time they faced off against Iron Mountain, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Westwood Patriots skirted past the Iron Mountain Mountaineers 55-53. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Mountaineers back in January, they had to take a 58-32 loss.

The win was the tenth in a row for Westwood, bringing their record for this year to 21-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Iron Mountain, they moved to 21-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Westwood will challenge Glen Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glen Lake will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something Westwood surely won't give up without a fight. Iron Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
