After both having extra time off, the Christian Heritage Lions and the Savannah Christian Raiders will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. Christian Heritage will be strutting in after a victory while Savannah Christian will be coming in after a defeat.
Savannah Christian will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Christian Heritage extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Lions took their game with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over Armuchee. The Lions pushed the score to 42-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Indians cut but never quite recovered from.
Christian Heritage's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Hill, who rushed for 54 yards and one TD on only five carries. Hill didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass. Jacob Tatum also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Christian Heritage's defense and their eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Cooper Middleton and Harrison Murdock, who racked up five sacks between them. Middleton is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season. Christian Heritage received some extra help from Middleton, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Savannah Christian might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Toombs County who claimed the real prize. The Raiders took a blow against the Bulldogs, falling 52-24. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 10-0 in the first quarter.
Christian Heritage will have to contain Blaise Thomas as he made an impact in Savannah Christian's last game. He rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 156 yards and one TD.
Christian Heritage's record now sits at 7-3. As for Savannah Christian, they moved to 6-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Christian Heritage has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 372.4 total yards per game. However, it's not like Savannah Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 405.8 total yards.
