Baseball Recap: Alexander Christian Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alexander Christian Academy). They put the hurt on the Oak Ridge Military Academy Eagles with a sharp 17-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was just business as usual for the Crusaders, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.

Peighton Harrington made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Alexander Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Titius Sloan, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Sloan has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Micah Gettler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Alexander Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
