Volleyball Recap: Valley Vista Takes a Loss

If Valley Vista was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cesar Chavez on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monsoon came up short against the Shadow Ridge Stallions on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Monsoon have struggled against the Stallions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-18.

Isaiah Austin paced Valley Vista's offense, picking up seven kills. Austin got some help from Parker Katena and his 15 assists.

Valley Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Shadow Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 6-17.

Valley Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Millennium on the 17th. As for Shadow Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Apollo on the 17th.
