If Fletcher was feeling good fresh off their 67-38 takedown of St. Augustine last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fletcher Senators took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andrew Jackson Tigers on Tuesday. The Senators' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Fletcher saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brylee Rains posted 22 points.

Leading Andrew Jackson to victory were Madison Holmes-Price and Mi?Onna Green. Holmes-Price went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points and three steals, while Green put up eight points and 12 rebounds. Green has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Hester, who had 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Fletcher's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Andrew Jackson, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Fletcher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-53 win against Paxon School For Advanced Studies on the 20th. As for Andrew Jackson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-40 defeat against Columbia on the 20th.
