Rogue River had lost 14 games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-12  on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the St. Mary's Crusaders get on the board and left with  a   2-0  victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  17-9  on Tuesday.
  Dustin Morton was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over 6.2 innings pitched. Morton was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run. Those  stolen bases were  his first of the season.
As for St. Mary's,  they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat they have suffered  since March 25th.
 On St. Mary's side,  Tai Zimmerman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 14 Ks.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rogue River beat the Crusaders by a score of  15-10 later that day.
