Soccer Game Preview: Wellington vs. Dwyer

The Wellington Wolverines will head out to challenge the Dwyer Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Wellington took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over Jupiter. The win was all the more spectacular given Wellington's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Jupiter are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, Dwyer had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Trojans. The match marked Dwyer's most dominant victory of the season.

Dwyer's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Wellington, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
