Baseball Recap: Tuslaw Beats Garaway for Their Third Straight Win

Garaway typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Tuslaw proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Pirates. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three contests in a row.

Andrew Shackle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Shackle was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Pratt, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cam Stevens, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Tuslaw kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Tuslaw's record is now 17-9. As for Garaway, they dropped their record down to 11-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
