Basketball Game Preview: Little Elm Lobos vs. Guyer Wildcats

Little Elm hasn't had much luck against Guyer recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Little Elm Lobos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Guyer Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Little Elm has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Little Elm is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Hebron with a sharp 84-59 win on Friday. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Hawks are ranked 126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Guyer unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Marcus by a score of 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since November 10, 2023.

Guyer's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-7. As for Little Elm, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.
