Baseball Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Camino Real Royals. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Royals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-3 loss last Wednesday.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for El Camino Real, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Cleveland and El Camino Real should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Cavaliers will challenge North Hollywood at 10:00 a.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (489 vs. 1018). Meanwhile, El Camino Real (ranked 174th) will meet Hoover (ranked 678th) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Royals 3.2, the Patriots 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
