Softball Recap: Mandeville Comes Up Short

Mandeville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against E.D. White on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 7-6. The Skippers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mandeville got a good showing from Mia Baham, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Baham has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lindsay Berniard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Mandeville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for E.D. White, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Mandeville will head out to challenge Covington on Tuesday. As for E.D. White, they will host Assumption at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
