Basketball Recap: Rockwell Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Rockwell fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past the Vanguard Academy Valiant with a 30-25 win on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-40 back in December of 2024.

Vanguard Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Adie Jenkins, who posted 17 points and eight steals. Jenkins' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Amanda Gustafson was another key player, putting up no points along with nine steals and six boards.

Rockwell's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Vanguard Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Rockwell will face off against American Prep WV at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vanguard Academy, they will challenge Intermountain Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
