After a string of 11 wins, Gunnison Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 7-3 to the Richfield Wildcats. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 12-5 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gunnison Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daxton Knudsen, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Gunnison Valley suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 11-6. As for Richfield, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Gunnison Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against San Juan on the 11th. As for Richfield, they have also already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against North Sanpete on the 11th.
