Football Game Preview: Callaway Cavaliers vs. Westside Seminoles

The Callaway Cavaliers will square off against the Westside Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Callaway has four straight wins, Westside has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Callaway's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Pike County to the tune of 42-0. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Pirates are ranked 280th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Westside had to suffer through a 56-14 loss at the hands of Morgan County.

Although Westside took the loss, they still got scores from Tyleik Flint and Jayden Williams.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Callaway, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Callaway took their win against Westside when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 34-14 score. Do the Cavaliers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Seminoles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
