Toombs County won the last time they faced Dublin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs pulled ahead with a 51-50 photo finish over the Fighting Irish. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 456th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Toombs County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Stanley, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Braddy, who posted ten points.

Despite the loss, Dublin still got an impressive performance from Kam Stanley, who shot 75% from the field en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Jaydon McRae was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Toombs County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Dublin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Toombs County will square off against Woodville-Tompkins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dublin, they will challenge Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
