Baseball Recap: Cox Comes Up Short

Cox was the 5-1 winner over First Colonial when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cox's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 13-2. As for First Colonial, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Cox will square off against Green Run at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Falcons' favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Stallions have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. As for First Colonial, they will face off against Tallwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
