Dumm Made His Presence Known in Northern Cambria's 28-0 Win
Starting off the list is Northern Cambria's Ty Dumm, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dumm rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 115 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
Dumm might have his next game, a road matchup with Conemaugh Township, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Dumm saw the Indians), he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

While West Shamokin might've come up empty on Friday, Cole Wingard wasn't going down without a fight. Homer-Center had no answer to Wingard as he rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Wingard was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
West Shamokin is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Wingard and West Shamokin will face off against Conemaugh Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sam Yanits was instrumental in extending River Valley's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Yanits as he rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Yanits is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Marion Center on Friday. When Yanits last faced the Stingers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
