Soccer Game Preview: Fort Bend Travis vs. Fort Bend Dulles

The Fort Bend Travis Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Travis will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Fort Bend Travis' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Fort Bend Bush 4-0. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Broncos are ranked 615th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Bend Dulles hadn't beaten Fort Bend Elkins on the road since March 2, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. Fort Bend Dulles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fort Bend Elkins 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

Fort Bend Travis pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matchups. As for Fort Bend Dulles, their record now sits at 6-11.

Fort Bend Travis was able to grind out a solid victory over Fort Bend Dulles when the teams last played back in February, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Bend Travis since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
