Baseball Game Preview: Norwin Knights vs. Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Norwin will face off against Mt. Lebanon. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Norwin 3.9, Mt. Lebanon 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Norwin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Pennsylvania's top teams: Mt. Lebanon, who was ranked 11th at the time (Norwin was ranked 12th). The Knights took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mt. Lebanon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Norwin, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
