Volleyball Recap: Center Hill Takes a Loss

Center Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the DeSoto Central Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Center Hill started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 22-25, 25-12, 25-17, 15-8.

Center Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for DeSoto Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Center Hill has already played their next matchup (against Senatobia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for DeSoto Central, they will challenge Horn Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Jaguars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
