Traverse City Central came tearing into Friday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Traverse City West Titans with points to spare, taking the game 55-39. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Titans are ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Traverse City Central pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points over those games. As for Traverse City West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Traverse City Central will square off against Ludington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Traverse City West, they will challenge Mt. Pleasant at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
