Wheeler stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on the Griswold Wolverines with a sharp 10-1 win. The victory was familiar territory for Wheeler who now have five in a row.

Reese Main was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and only one walk). Main has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances. Main was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Wheeler got a big performance out of Morgyn Perkins, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Leah Cleary, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Wheeler's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Griswold, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Wheeler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 defeat vs. East Lyme on the 29th. As for Griswold, they will head out on the road to face off against Tourtellotte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Griswold is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
