Oxford Academy came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Unatego Spartans with points to spare, taking the game 65-46. For the Blackhawks, this counts as revenge for the 74-65 victory the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Oxford Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Unatego, they moved to 7-4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Oxford Academy is taking a road trip to take on Edmeston Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Edmeston Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. As for Unatego, they will be playing at home against Deposit-Hancock at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Deposit-Hancock knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Unatego likes a good challenge.
