Baseball Recap: Sperry's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Sperry took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Kellyville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Sperry sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over Kellyville on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Cuda Asher was incredible, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had over his last eight matchups. Another player making a difference was Isaac Sherill, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Sperry's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Kellyville, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Looking ahead, Sperry will take on Rejoice Christian at 4:30 p.m. on April 3. As for Kellyville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pawhuska at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
