Basketball Recap: Corvallis Comes Up Short

Corvallis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Hamilton Broncs, falling 66-37. The Blue Devils lost against the Broncs in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 54-46 score last time.

Hamilton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Canaan Magness out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Magness a new career-high. Tyler Jette was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Corvallis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Hamilton, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Stevensville the next time they take the court. Hamilton will head out to face Stevensville at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, while Corvallis will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
