Volleyball Recap: Hoover Triumphs

Hoover lost to Garces Memorial back in September of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Patriots skirted past the Rams 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Their offense was headlined by Ayda Yumusak and Avery Roberson, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Alejandra Espino and her seven assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Garces Memorial, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will take on Bullard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garces Memorial, they will be playing at home against Frontier at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
