Basketball Game Preview: Harding County Ranchers vs. Dupree Tigers

The Harding County Ranchers will square off against the Dupree Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Harding County's favor as the squad sits on 17 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Dupree has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Last Thursday, Harding County strolled past Timber Lake with points to spare, taking the game 43-29. The victory continues a trend for the Ranchers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Harding County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamry Padden, who posted 12 points and seven steals. Padden is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Rae Verhulst, who had 11 points and five steals.

Harding County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Dupree beat Lead-Deadwood 42-38 on Thursday.

Harding County's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Dupree, their win bumped their record up to 2-15.

Everything came up roses for Harding County against Dupree in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 54-16 victory. Does Harding County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dupree turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
